Job Description
Eva Marine and Industrial Engineering Ltd, a growing marine service and industrial design/engineering company, is seeking a skilled ICT Customer Support Officer / IT Systems Support Specialist to support and future-proof IT, business, and end-user systems. Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support for end-users across hardware (laptops, scanners, tablets, phones) and software (business tools, HR systems).
- Manage, maintain, and administer company IT systems, including email, Office 365, and HR software (Xero).
- Onboard and offboard staff and contractors, ensuring system access and training.
- Maintain IT documentation, procedures, and user guides for all IT assets and systems.
- Digitize and organize business records, write job closure reports, and ensure documentation accessibility.
- Support technical aspects of marine engineering and industrial design projects, including working with engineering drawings and design software.
- Maintain health and safety digital records and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Oversee data management and backups, ensuring secure cloud storage solutions.
- Research, evaluate, and help implement new technologies and automation tools.
- Handle procurement of IT equipment and liaise with vendors.
- Assist with website content and occasional social media updates.
- Deliver IT training and provide one-on-one or group support to staff.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of IT support or systems administration experience in SMB environments.
- Proficiency with hardware/software troubleshooting, Office 365, and cloud HR/payroll systems.
- Experience in procurement, asset management, and IT documentation.
- Interest or experience in engineering, electrical systems, or industrial design environments is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify technical topics for non-technical users.
- Vendor liaison and stakeholder management experience.
- Social media or website content management experience is beneficial.
- NZQF Diploma in IT or equivalent qualification/experience required.
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA) preferred.
- Engineering, industrial design, or electrical background advantageous.
